An established authority on matters of taste and style, Smith has been quoted multiple times in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and he has made TV appearances on Atlanta’s FOX, NBC and CBS affiliates, including segments on Fox 5′s Good Day Atlanta, 11Alive’s weekend morning program and CBS Atlanta’s Better Mornings and afternoon newscasts. Smith has also appeared as a design expert on DirectTV’s Resort & Residence network. He has spoken at events at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center and AmericasMart, the country’s largest wholesale market. Smith has lectured to students at The University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and was an instructor at Emory University’s Evening at Emory Continuing Education program. He has also served as emcee for a variety of events, ranging in size from a dozen attendees to more than 400.
